A Foundation Built on Faith and Service
Our Campus Ministry Program, founded on the principles of faith, humility, compassion, and integrity, offers a range of activities designed to deepen the spiritual lives of our students and staff. From comprehensive retreats and reflection days to peer ministry and community service, the program is structured to encourage each individual at St. Ignatius to become faith-centered and value-centered, following the model of Jesus Christ.
Highlights of the Program
One of the core elements of our Campus Ministry is the organization of spiritual retreats. These retreats provide vital space for students and faculty to reflect and realign their life priorities, fostering a greater understanding of their spiritual journeys and community responsibilities.
Our Liturgical Ministries, another cornerstone of the program, involve students in monthly Eucharistic celebrations, where they participate as readers, musicians, and even dramatists. These masses not only enhance their liturgical experience but also allow them to contribute to our school community’s spiritual life actively.
Peer Ministry is a unique aspect of our program where students mentor each other in faith, helping to forge a stronger, faith-based community. This initiative teaches students to share their spiritual experiences and support one another in their faith journeys.
Community Impact Through Service
True to the Christian calling of service, our students engage in various outreach programs, from Food Drives to Christmas Toy Drives, to assist disadvantaged families within our community. These activities aid those in need and instill a lifelong commitment to service in our students.
Every student must complete at least 25 hours of community service over their four years of high school, with opportunities provided through the school curriculum. These experiences are vital in developing the “image of God” through interactions with others and reflect our commitment to Christian moral values and social justice.
Goals and Reflection
Our Campus Ministry’s ultimate goal is to fulfill our community’s spiritual needs and uphold the motto of St. Ignatius High School by “Doing All Things for the Greater Honor and Glory of God.” Through this program, we aim to enable every member of our school community to grow in their knowledge and love of God.
We are incredibly proud of the spiritual growth and community impact our students have achieved through the Campus Ministry Program. Their development into Christ-centered citizens is a testament to the power of integrating faith into education.
At St. Ignatius, we are committed to continuing this journey of faith and service, striving always to enhance the spiritual well-being of our students and staff. We invite our school community and friends to join us in this mission, supporting our endeavors to bring the love of Christ to every heart.
